Tonight I introduced Luke to a family tradition of opening one present on Christmas eve. I think he likes his new coffee mug :p
This was the finished product of the hamper. I used 3 sheets of each green and red cellophane and taped them together before wrapping (my basket was an awkward size). There are two layers to the wrapping. One green, one red. I then used another sheet or two on each layer just to cover everything.
I think people have come to realise that I’m horrible at wrapping… So I used quite a lot of sticky tape :p
Another great gift idea for the holidays is a DIY Hamper :)
I used this idea for Luke’s parents this year. All I had to do was buy an assortment of chocolates that both of them like, arrange them in a wicker basket (these can be found at spotlight or a craft store) and then wrap it all up with red and green cellophane. I then secured it all with ribbon :)
You can do this with anything. Be it jams, biscuits, toys.. There are endless possibilities. Plus it’s really cheap and has a nice sentiment to it.
These Christmas themed Coke cans are pretty fun :3
I’m just in a Christmas-y mood and figured I should get all my posts done now.
I’ve had about 7 things in my drafts just waiting to be posted, but I cbf queuing them XP
SO… DEAL WITH IT!!

PERSONALISED CHRISTMAS BAUBLE’S.
I made these for my friends for their christmas presents. It took about 4 hours all up to make (including drying time).
I originally used glitter glue (which you can see in the singular photos) which smudged a lot and ran out quickly when I was applying it. Once it dried, it all fell off because the surface was too smooth. So I purchased some glitter paint and that worked MUCH better, while still giving the effect I was looking for.
These bauble’s are literally the size of my head! They were fairly hard to find, but if you look in your general shopping store (KMART, TARGET or WALLMART-depending where you live), they should be available :)
I then just put them in a gift bag with tissue paper to protect them from cracking :)
1- Patrick with a guitar (the musician)
2- Madison with a paintbrush (the artist)
3- Lauren with a book (the scholar)
4- Bronwyn with a panda (the animal-lover)
5- Michelle with a chef’s hat (the cook)
6- Sarah with a heart (the lover)
These are my best friends, and I tried to choose symbols that would best describe them. The last photo is the finished products with the glitter paint. All smudges were fixed :)
So yeah, here’s a simple and easy christmas gift from my DIY christmas collection this year :P
I’ll post the others later :)
