Yes I did just buy these today!! Best purchases ever! Hunger Games movie companion and the World of Panem :D
I am literally standing on my tiptoes holding my aerial JUST so I can see his perfect face without the crappy reception from my tv!!
It was just soooo perfect!! I laughed, I cried, I swooned… I even squealed just a little!!
There was not a big enough bucket for my creys during certain scenes!! But I loved every second of it!
My only criticism is that I felt it moved too fast. I guess I was just so excited that it seemed that way, but I would have like some certain scenes to be lengthier.
BUT OTHER THAN THAT, IT WAS SO FRAKKIN’ PERFECT!!!! UGH!!!

I’m currently dying my hair red for The Hunger Games premiere tonight :DD
WHY, YOU ASK??
Because then I can be THE GIRL ON FIRE!! AHAHAHAH!!
I’m cool, ok??

This is the start of our epic tshirts :p just have to find the Hunger Games font and add our slogan :p
I recently started getting into the hunger games. I read through the first book in a matter of days. I then rushed out to buy the second one with Luke (he paid because I was low on funds D:) and started reading it Tues night. I finished it this afternoon (Wednesday) and then found out that Luke had also bought me Mockingjay as a Christmas present, but will give me a treat and let me have it early… BUT THAT’S A DAY AWAY!! I read the books so fast (but thoroughly) that I am suddenly craving the third book like a starving child of District 12 might crave a scrap of food!!
What have I gotten myself into?! My emotions have been battered and bruised as I read through the pages of Katniss’ struggle.. Then to be relieved when she found Peeta in the arena… Then only to be beaten to a pulp again when I learned what the Capitol was about to do!! After reading the very last words that escaped Gale’s mouth in Catching Fire, my whole body convulsed with a need to find out what happened next!
And omg, I have seriously fallen in love with Peeta and IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HIM, I WILL SERIOUSLY DISFIGURE SOMETHING!! He’s such a lovely and sweet boy, and his stories about watching Katniss and always looking out for her… Omg, my creys :’)
And Rue… :’( I died a little inside!!
I think if I had to choose a district, it would be 11. Not because of their agriculture trait, because it was music that kept them going and gave them hope against the Peacekeepers. In a way, it reminds me of the Africans who were forced to work in the cotton fields, and how music was a secret rebellion to remind each other never to give up. I think that’s why I like District 11 so much, because music has always given me hope throughout all circumstances.
But anyway!! The moment I get my hands on that book, I will be lost to the world once again.
I thought I would explain my absence this week… IT WAS FOR A GOOD CAUSE, ok??
