Tonight I introduced Luke to a family tradition of opening one present on Christmas eve. I think he likes his new coffee mug :p
This was the finished product of the hamper. I used 3 sheets of each green and red cellophane and taped them together before wrapping (my basket was an awkward size). There are two layers to the wrapping. One green, one red. I then used another sheet or two on each layer just to cover everything.
I think people have come to realise that I’m horrible at wrapping… So I used quite a lot of sticky tape :p
Another great gift idea for the holidays is a DIY Hamper :)
I used this idea for Luke’s parents this year. All I had to do was buy an assortment of chocolates that both of them like, arrange them in a wicker basket (these can be found at spotlight or a craft store) and then wrap it all up with red and green cellophane. I then secured it all with ribbon :)
You can do this with anything. Be it jams, biscuits, toys.. There are endless possibilities. Plus it’s really cheap and has a nice sentiment to it.
Getting in the Christmas spirit! We’re going to lobethal tonight to see the Christmas lights display :) I’m giving out all the presents I made for my friends :)
I’ll post photos of them later tonight for anyone who wants some cheap Christmas gift ideas :)
Today I went to spotlight and bought some glitter PAINT! And omg!! It looks amazing!!
Can’t wait for it all to dry so I can wrap them up nicely for my fraaands :P
THANK YOU SPOTLIGHT CHRISTMAS SALES!!
And ALSO today, I went into work early so I could buy one of Luke’s presents and it took me FOREVER to find it, buy it, lug it upstairs and then finish getting dressed for work… I have NEVER run around IKEA so much in my life (well… anywhere to be quite honest).
The market hall stairs… omg. Kill me now!! I had to run up and down them at least 10 times!! I was so dead by the time I started work D:
But, regardless, it was a very eventful day and I’m happy with the outcome :D
I was up all night finishing off my christmas presents for all my friends…
It took me roughly 3 hours to complete. All I needed to do was leave them over night so the glitter glue could dry. I woke up this morning and sure enough, it had dried… but it also didn’t stick! So now I have bits of dried up glitter glue all over the place :(
Ugh. WHY CAN’T YOU JUST LOOK NICE AND PRETTY?
STUPID GLITTER GLUE!!!
